On January 29th, Michael Thompson's attorneys will request that Michigan free him after serving 25 years in prison – simply for selling weed to an undercover informant. He is 68 years old. He has 35 years left, which means he was essentially given a life sentence... even though recreational weed is now legal in Michigan.
So we’re collecting letters before the petition delivery on the 29th to get Michael free. If we don't successfully pressure the decision-makers, Michael won't have another chance for two more years. All hands on deck!
